Mustard Seeds A small group for women of all ages that meets on the 1st and 3rd Thursday evenings of each month at 7:15 pm. Keeping in Step! Walking Group: A group that meets every Wednesday morning starting at 9:00am at Mary Hayes Barber Holmes Park at Powell Place, Pittsboro. Each hour and a half session will begin with 15 minutes of prayer, a short devotion, discussion, and time of sharing joys and concerns. Conversation, laughter, friendship, and exercise will be enjoyed by all during our hour of walking. Don’t think you can walk an hour? Please feel free to stop at the picnic area to rest; remember, walk at your own pace! The session will end with 15 minutes of cool down, conversation, and prayer. Prayer Shawl Ministry From 2pm-4pm on the 2nd and 4th Mondays of the month anyone who knits or crochets is invited to join our Prayer Shawl Ministry in creating shawls that are prayed over and sent to anyone who is dealing with illness or crisis. We meet in Room 107. For those who don’t knit or crochet there is a separate group that quilts. These prayer shawls and quilts are a tangible reminder of the love of Christ, and the love and prayers of our congregation. United Methodist Women UMW is a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as a whole person through Jesus Christ, to develop a creative, supportive fellowship, and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church. United Methodist Women learn about missions, pray for missions, and participate in missions.
PUMC has two UMW Circles that meet monthly. The Day Circle meets on 1st Monday after the 1st Sunday of each month at 11:00am in the Johnson Room. The Night Circle meets on the 2nd Tuesday at 7:00pm in Jeremiah's Retreat. For more information contact email@example.com.
