Missions at Pittsboro UMC

Missions are incredibly important here at PUMC.
Growing in Hope means sharing Christ’s love in every way possible! Below you can read about the variety of efforts and projects underway that the entire church is invited to participate in. Pay attention to emails, church bulletins, flyers and announcements for specific ways that you can spread the hope of Christ.
Ongoing Missions

CORA is our local food bank. Donations can be placed any Sunday in the bins in the Family Life Center or near the Sanctuary. All donations are welcome, but check the weekly church email for this month’s special focus.

Help prepare meals for our neighbors in need. There is a place for you, no matter your talents. Together with other area churches, Chatham Chuckwagon currently distributes up to 3000 free pre-cooked, vacuum-packed and frozen nutritious entrees a month! Check the weekly church email for information on how to sign-up!
Knit and Crochet Ministries
Meet weekly for fellowship with other crafters to make blankets, lap throws, prayer shawls, and more. Sometimes just reminding someone that they are Loved can make a big difference! Contact the church office to find out how you can get involved.

A common banner that churches, businesses, and all people from across Chatham County can serve under to help those suffering from homelessness and hunger. They distribute clothing, food and help to provide temporary and permanent housing to those in need. You can bring clothes to donate any time; just leave them in the Chuckwagon box at the entrance to the Family Life Center. You can also contact the organization for info on donating furniture.
